Enhancing Traveler Experience: FacilityBot at Lima Airport

Introduction

When it comes to enhancing the traveler experience, every detail counts, especially in busy airport terminals. We are glad to share how FacilityBot and Fraport AG have teamed up to streamline terminal reporting at Lima Airport, Peru. 

Rigorous Selection Process

In July 2024, after a thorough global search by Fraport Digital Factory, which considered over 50 potential solutions, FacilityBot was selected as the most suitable Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for their Proof of Concept (PoC) deployment at Lima Airport. 

For about three months, the FacilityBot team worked closely with the Security, Cleaning, and Maintenance teams at the airport. The teams deployed FacilityBot for various tasks including reporting security cases and cleaning issues. Concurrently, the FacilityBot team has been receiving feedback and making improvements, such as ensuring latency is low and supporting Spanish in all our digital channels. This deployment was FacilityBot’s first deployment in Latin America and a great test that FacilityBot can function well globally.

Results of the PoC

  • Positive Feedback: 82% of participants reported that the solution positively improved their day-to-day work, with many highlighting its valuable real-time updates for troubleshooting.
  • Security Team Enthusiasm: The Security team expressed particularly strong satisfaction, with 78% of members rating the solution as “significantly” beneficial to their work.
  • Managerial Support: Managers across all teams were generally satisfied, with 86% indicating that the solution had a positive impact on their daily operations.

Overall, most participants are convinced that FacilityBot effectively improves their day-to-day tasks and provides valuable real-time information. The Security team, in particular, stood out for its high satisfaction levels

The success of the PoC at Lima Airport sets the stage for exciting future developments.
