We Were Nominated as a Top Facility Management Startup in Singapore by Estate Innovation

Posted on Posted in Facilities Management

To support smart cities, the facility management sector aspires to implement smart facilities management initiatives, envisioning integrated systems involving IOT sensors, AI and robotics. However, on the ground, many buildings still rely on paper checklists, excel spreadsheets and voice calls. A recent survey by the Idox Group found that 62% of Facility Managers still use spreadsheets to manage their facilities.

We felt that given technologies available today, there was no real reason why Facilities Managers should not use digital platforms to digitize and automate their facilities management operations. So, we re-imagined a Facilities Management system that would be easy-to-use, easy-to-deploy, feature-rich and reasonably priced. We felt that this was achievable through a cloud-based SaaS model.

That was the genesis of FacilityBot. We took a messaging-first approach so that building users did not have to download or login to any new mobile apps, but could still interact with facilities managers digitally. It was the optimum approach to provide the best customer experience for building users and also bring them into the building digital ecosystem. Getting building users to be engaged digitally was certainly necessary to achieve smart facilities management, smart building and smart city aspirations.

We are surprised and happy that FacilityBot was recognized as one of the top Facility Management companies in Singapore by Estate Innovation, without solicitation.

This small recognition will encourage us to continue to build on the features available in FacilityBot, with the aim of providing the best user experience, functionality and automation-savings for Facility Managers.
