Introduction
The Meter Reminders feature in FacilityBot helps Facility Managers ensure that meter readings are recorded on time. By setting up reminders, you can automatically notify responsible staff to submit meter readings at regular intervals, reducing missed data entries and improving the accuracy of utility and asset usage tracking.
To use this feature, log in to the FacilityBot Manager Portal.
- Navigate to Features, then Meters.
- From the Meters page, locate the meter you want to set up reminders for. Hover over it, then click the Bell icon to open the reminder settings.
- Set Reminder Start Date and Time
This defines when the first reminder will be sent.
- Example: 15/08/2025 07:44 AM means the first notification will be sent on August 15, 2025, at 7:44 AM.
- Choose the Reminder Schedule
You have two ways to schedule:
- Repeat Every – Set a recurring frequency (e.g., every day, every week, every month).
Choose how often you want the reminder to be sent:
- Daily – Ideal for high-usage equipment or critical systems that need close monitoring.
- Weekly – Useful for standard operational tracking.
- Monthly – Suitable for long-term tracking and analysis.
- Add Next Date and Time – Manually specify the next occurrence if you don’t want a fixed interval.
- Set the End Condition
You can choose when the reminders will stop:
- Never – Reminders continue indefinitely.
- On [Date] – End on a specific date (e.g., 24/07/2026).
- After [X] occurrences – End after a set number of reminders (e.g., after 10 occurrences).
- Select Notification Methods.
- Mobile Notification – Sends an in-app push notification to assigned FacilityBot mobile app users.
- Email Notification – Sends an email reminder to up to 10 recipients.
- Enter the email addresses in the field provided.
- You can add, edit, or remove recipients anytime.
- Click Submit once done.
- Once configured, an email reminder will be sent to the assigned recipients. You may also click the Enter Meter Reading button below to submit a reading, which will take you directly to the meter reading page.
By configuring meter reminders, Facility Managers can:
- Maintain consistent and timely data collection.
- Reduce the risk of missing important consumption records.
- Improve the reliability of long-term utility and asset usage analysis.
This feature ensures your facility’s meter data remains complete and up to date, making operational decision-making easier and more accurate.
