Overview
FacilityBot Studio is an AI-powered app and dashboard builder built into FacilityBot. It enables custom applications and dashboards to be easily created simply by describing their requirements in natural language, without engineering support or manual dashboard configuration.
From “Here’s what we need…” to “Here’s the dashboard.” ⚡Just describe what you need. FacilityBot Studio builds it.
In this case study, FacilityBot Studio was used to build a Joint Inspection (JI) dashboard for a facilities management provider operating at a Polytechnic site in Singapore. The dashboard provides a centralized, real-time view of JI activity, findings, and SLA classifications, helping managers monitor inspection performance and follow up on issues more efficiently.
The Requirement
The facilities management team needed a centralized dashboard to summarize around eight Joint Inspections each month. Instead of manually compiling results, managers needed a single view of total findings, Observation and Unsatisfactory classifications, individual categories, inspection details, and locations.
How It Was Built with FacilityBot Studio
Using FacilityBot Studio, the JI dashboard was created simply by describing the desired outcome in natural language. Instead of manually configuring tables, charts, filters, and classification mappings, Studio interpreted the requirements and generated a dashboard tailored to the team’s reporting needs.
Here is the initial prompt used:
“Create a Joint Inspection dashboard for a Polytechnic site. Show total JIs, total findings, and how many fall into unsatisfactory, observation, and demerit categories each month. Break findings down by SLA area, including general cleaning, teaching & learning facilities, toilet cleaning, waste management, and event management, and let managers drill into every finding with checklist ID, zone, location, inspection date, assigned representatives, and classification, with the option to export records to CSV.”
From here, we worked with the facilities management team to iterate and refine the dashboard based on their detailed requirements, including the SLA groupings, checklist breakdown columns, and CSV export format.
The Result
FacilityBot Studio generated a custom JI dashboard that gives the facilities management team a centralized view of Joint Inspection activity and findings at Polytechnic. Summary cards show JIs, total findings, and classification results, while the SLA breakdown and detailed checklist table help managers review findings by service area, location, inspection date, representative, and classification. The dashboard also supports CSV export, making it easier to review findings, prioritize follow-up, and prepare monthly reports without manual spreadsheet compilation.
